LORRY DRIVER BADLY HURT.

Severe injuries were received by Hugh Talbot, married, aged 40, of Newtown, when a motor lorry in his charge, the property of the Ilutt River Shingle Company, plunged oyr a bank and foil 200 feet from the Iforokiwi Road, near Petonc. Talbot sustained injuries to the head, lacerated . wounds of the face, fracture of the bones of the left hand, concussion and shock, and his condition is regarded as serious.
