MANUFACTURED EVIDENCE
HOTEL BILL OF HUSBAND,
LONDON, May 12,
A hotel bill, which was produced in evidence in a divorce case, recoiled on the head of Evan Preston—who had proved his wife’s prolonged misconduct and compelled him to admit that he had previously supplied his wife with the hotel bill'to enable her to divorce him. .
He’asked the Judge to forgive his offence. I
Mr Justice Hill said that Preston’s so-called misconduct was ‘‘one of those idiotic cases whore evidence is manufactured on purpose for a divorce.” Preston had been entitled t<j> a <livoree for years, ho said. He dill not wish to be hard so lie granted fhc decree. - ■ :
