The first visit for some years was received from the Otaki Bowling Club on Wednesday afternoon when three rinks from that Club played a friendly game on the local green. The green was in good order but a tricky wind at times made play difficult; nevertheless the games were keenly contested, Otaki winning on the aggregate by one point. A return visit will be paid to Otaki next month. Following were the- - scores, Otaki being mentioned first in each instances. —
Witchcll, Moore, Wyatt, Wihnot (s) 22 v. Aim, Grey, Glayton, Knowles (s) 18.
Freeman, Smallbonc, Smith, Milward (s) 20 v. Braun, Burns, Mason, Jones Cs) 23. Hawea, Bills, Amyes, Noble (s) 16 v. Gunning, Wilkinson, Blaikie, Bovis (s) 16. Only 18 heads were played in this game.
