WELSH FORWARDS HOLD THEIR OWN (Received Sunday, 5.. r ) p.m.) RON DON, Oct. 1. At Swansea the “ Waraiahs ” defeated Swansea by H points to nil. Torrential rain fell during the match. The Welsh forwards held their owir hut the backs were completely outclassed. The visitors crossed their opponents’ line thrice and converted one try before the interval. In the second half the ground broke up making it impossible to handle the hall accurately. The Welshmen revelled in the mud and kept the “ Waratahs ” busy defending.
