Following a trial gallop with Limerick. Mr Gaisford stated that he was satisfied Commendation had not struck his true form, therefore he had scratched him for.all engagements. He will return with the gelding to New Zealand in the Maheno on October 7th. He added that he would bring Commendation back next Autumn when he would be sure be would give a good account of himself.
