Much interest has been expressed by no-license advocates in the result of the Raglan election. The successful Labour candidate stood for a- two-issue ballot paper, and Prohibitionists calculate that they will have 43 sure votes for the two-issue paper if a Licensing Bill comes down this session, and there is a possibility of another nine votes.
