WATER KEPT FOR 6000 YEARS.

FIND IN AN EGYPTIAN TOMB. CAIRO, Sep. 10. Water preserved \since the Third Egyptian Dynasty (4212-3998 8.C.) has been found, according to an official communique, in the tomb of Queen I-letephercs, the mother of Cheops, builder of the Great Pyramid, which was opened by the Harvard-Boston expedition after being discovered in 1925. The liquid on analysis was declared to consist of a 3 per cent, solution of soda in water, possessing the same density as sea-water. This is the first recorded instance of preserved water being found in an ancient Egyptian tomb.—Central News.
