On a charge of drunkenness a man named Jack Tennant appeared before Mr E. Spencer,. J.P., and was fined 10s and costs. Mr W. Murdoch, who is now residing in Wellington, has notified the secrptarv of the Shannon Football Club that ho "is donating a medal to the Club to be awarded as the committee thinks fib. At a meeting of the committee of the Shannon Football Club held last evening it was decided to purchase numbered jerseys for the senior team, and these will be distributed to players by the coach to whom they will have to be returned after each game, it was decided to raise the money to purchase them by means of a street stall or something of that kind. BOWLING. The following will represent Shannon in the Manawatu Centre’s champion ot champions rink tourney at Palmerston North on Saturday; —Aim, Morgan, Jones, B Spencer (skip). At Pnhiatna on Saturday a rink consisting of H. Butt, White. Gagliardi an* Murray (skip) will meet the holders of the Manson and Barr Cup. Three rinks from The Terrace Eux Club will visit the Shannon Club during the week-end.
