PROPOSAL TO SEND NURSES ABROAD. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Speaking at the Hosrjital Board meeting Dr. Vabntine said he was heartily in agreement with the proposal by the Otago University that the Departingt should send two nurses abroad togar.i experience, but then came the amazing suggestion that the Department should pay their salaries. He suggested that if anything were done it should begin at Auckland University, because Auckland had th 3 largest hospital in New Zealand and for that reason was entitled to greater consideration.
