JEALOUS WOMAN SHOOTS MILLIONAIRE LOVER.
WISHED TO .BREAK OFF RELATIONS (Received Tuesday. 10.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, Dec. 21. The police are investigating the shooting in her apartments of Mrs Roberta Ingersoll .wife of the famous watchmaker. She was found dead with a bullet through her head ,and with her, seriously wounded, was Wallace MacLean Probasco, a young millionaire vvhpse own wife is a daughter of the late Robert Ingersoll ,the famous agnostic. Probasco, who will probably die. told the police that he had gone to Mrs Ingersoll’s -apartments to break off relations with her, which had been existing over a long period. He told he had become reconciled to his own wife ,and wag about to leave when Mrs. Ingersoll open 3d. fire.
