MANSON & BAER CUP. The holders of the above cup successfully defended a challenge from a rink from the Takaro Club on the local green on Saturday afternoon. The game was keenly fought by each rink snd was full of interest throughout. Takaro onened by scoring a one oi each of the first four heads. The next six heads went to Shannon, who regis ■tered one on each head. The Ilth head was Takaro’s with another one, ed up on the next two heads with a four and a two. At the 16th head the score was Takaro 1° Shannon 10. A three to Shannon on the- 17ih head placed them in the front, which was increased by another one on the 18th head. The 19th head was Takaro’s wilh one up, the next two heads going lo Shannon. The final score was Shannon 16, Takaro 13. The rinks were:—Shannon: T, Moyni hau, T. Watterston, C. Jones and E. J. S. Spencer (skip). Takaro: Morgan, Tanner, Littlejohn and Tantrum (skip).
