A TREACHEROUS POOL.

PALMERSTON DROWNING CASE. eonowicz suffered cramp. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Dec. 21. An inquest was held this morning on the bodies of Vincent William Eonowicz (14).arid Lester Alexander Wilson (Us), who lost their lives while swimming in the Manawatu river on Saturday afternoon. The evidence showed that both bodies were attired in swimming costumes. From the position of Eonowicz’s limbs it appeared that he had been seized with cramp. The swimming pool where the fatality occurred was quite unsafe for children. In returning a verdict that the deceased met their death by accidental drowning, the Coroner said that perhaps the tragedy would have the effect of keeping children away from the pool in future.
