• TO-NIGHT. “DIVORCE ” The story set out in the dramatic play “Divorce*’ which "will be shown at the People’s .Pictures this evening gives Jane Novak opportunities 10. display her wonderful artistry. “Divorce” is a drama of society where life is lived for the full 24 hours and where the ha£py family life is non- existent. The Jazz crazed era is responsible for the drifting apart of a devoted couple and realisation that love alone counts comes too late and “Divorce” is the final voice in the mad turning. A comic,’ gazette and scenic are included and on Saturday the Jazzmanian Orchestra will play suitable items to the various pictures. ’ MONDAY NIGHT ONLY. At the People’s Pictures on Monday night will be screened one of UniversalJewel pictures, “Watch Your Wife,” a comedy drama of a diverting nature, which tolls of married life with trials and troubles, and of a jealous and suspicious husband and- of the humorous situations that rapidly develop into an absorbing drama. The production is of a very high standard and the settings are. really gorgeous, especially in the cabaret scenes where the youth and beauty do congregate. Pat O’Malley and, Virginia Yalli are the featured players.

“THE BUSHWHACKERS” WEDNESDAY. “The Bushwhackers,” a picture of the great Australian outback and sot amid scenes of majestic splendour, shows all the romance, all the pathos and the humour of the real Australian bush, contained in the stirring story of a friendship that knew no obstacles, ' * The Bushwhackers” IS a real Australian picture produced in Australia by Australians with ! a cast of Australian artists. It is emphatically the finest picture produced. The theme is .mate ship and when an Australian calls another mate lie will stick to him through good times and bad times. Many sensational and thrilling scenes are introduced and the acting by Stella Southern, Rawdon Blandford, Eddie O’Reilly, and Berlys is unexcelled. Splendid supports are included with this great picture.
