PERSONAL.
The services of ' Sir J. H. Gunson as president of the Auckland Provincial Patriotic and War Belief Association, of which he was chairman of the executive, were spoken of in highly appreciative terms yesterday when his resignation was tendered owing to his impending visit to England. Mr Gunson was prevailed upon to withdraw the resignation and accept 18 months 7 leave of absence.
