COURT OP APPEAL TO DECIDE. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Nov. 10. On the ground that John Munro Gillies had been, guilty of professional misconduct as a solicitor, an application was made to Mr Justice Sim to-day that he show' cause why he should not be struck off the solicitor’s roll. Mr White for Gillies said the latter had been absent from his office ill for some mouths. Though cn examination many items would be credited to Gillies, there must be a considerable deficit and Gillies was not opposing the motion. Mr Callan for the Law Society asked that the matter be reserved for the Appeal Court and Gillies in the meantime suspended from practice. The Judge took this course.
