LEVIN v. FEUDING
Levin suffered disastrously at the hands of Feilding, everyone who made the journey deemed it a day of complete enjoyment, and while defeats were rather numerous the losers were by no means dismayed. Everyone in the Levin team commented on Feildhig’s sportsmanship and hospitality—especially on the part of the ladies, who surrendered the links so that the Feilding-Levin matches might be carried right through—the Levin players all being entertained at lunch and afternoon tea.
The home team won all the pairs, while they also eclipsed Levin in the singles with a score of W-3, due, in some measure, to superior putting and approaching and, of course, an intimate knowledge of local conditions. The green there was a good deal faster than that of the Levin links, and a change in this direction i« always a point in favour of a home club. Particulars are as follow; — Four Bail: W. G.
