Viscount Torrington who was arrested at Talding .Kent, on a charge of offering a worthless cheque on a Nottingham Bank married a piet> actress, tout was divorced m 19 -G; H '® bankruptcy in .1919 included a debt of £IO,OOO to his first wife. Viscount Torrington was released on bail until October 9. As the offence is a misdemeanour, he will be treated as a commoner, trial by Peers before House of Lords being reserved fox felony. . (George Master Byng is tho 9tn Viscount Torrington, and succeeded his father in 1889. He married in. 1910, Eleanor, the eldest daughter of Edwin Souray, Long Ditton, Surre -: Viscount Torrington was educated Eton and Sandhurst. He was page of honour to Queen Victoria 189 9 -190 L and to King Edward 1901-1910. After resigning his commission in the Ri»e Brigade, he enlisted as a trooper in the .19th Hussars in 1914, bemg later given a commission in the R.rs.y.K. As a Flight Observer, in the R.A.h., he was taken prisoner on December 2nd, 19.1 G, at Philippopolis, Bulgaria, Viscount Torrington was born m 1886.]
