Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of the 17th Inst antiLamb.—New Zealand prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury, heavy 9Jd, light ll|d, North Island heavy 9£d, light Hid. Demand for N.Z. lamb runs principally on Tight weights, market weak. Mutton—New Zealand prime crossbred mutton, Canterbury heavy 6|d, light 7|d, North Island heavy 6id, light 7£d. Moderate demand for N.Z. mutton, market weaker. Beef.—New Zealand prime ox beef hinds sid, fores 3d. Demand, for N.Z. beef poor owing to warm weather, prices nominal. Pork.—Nominal value on spot BJd per lb, c.i.f. 8d to B|d. WOOL SALES. Wool sales continue fairly animated, but lately reported rates are hardly maintained for the finest descriptions. All other descriptions rather lower. We think Continent have filled mqpy of their orders as they are not buying so freely. SHEEPSKIN SALES. Sheepskin sales held to-day, attendance of buyers is good. Good competition from Home trade. Continent and America. As compared with last, sales closing rates merino combing skins very firm, crossbred combing skins prices higher 7A per cent, on average. Clothing skins firm. , DAIRY PRODUCE. Butter.—Market firm. We quote New Zealand salted 190 s (187 s), Danish 192 s (1945), finest Australian salted 186 s (182 s). unsalted 190 s (188 s). Cheese.—Market .firm. New Zealand white 108 s to 109 s (107 s), coloured 108 s to 109 s (106 s), Canadian 104 s to 108 s (106 s). Total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for .Tune 575,000- cwts as compared with 412,000 cwt. for the corresponding month last year. Last week’s quotations in parenthesis. Arrivals in Great Britain.—Since our report of 10th instant, the only vessel to arrive in Great Britain with New Zealand Dairy Produce is the s.s. Haranga, on 13th instant: 21,599 boxes butter, 13,417 crates cheese. .
