TWO LADIES SERIOUSLY INJURED .

KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 18. Knocked down by' a motor car ir Dominion road lust night, Mrs Mar gum Holder, 29, suffered seri-om head injuries, and Grace Brand, 30, scalp wounds. Both were sent to the hospital, the former in a very serious condition. The ear was driven by Edmond Essery and struck the ladies as they were cnoissing the road. The driver, in swerving in an attempt to avoid them, drove into a telegraph post, the car being considerably damaged.
