PERSONAL.
Mr and Mrs W. Wills, late of Woodville, have terminated their stay with Mr and Mrs Swan, of Levin, and are now on their way to Plymouth, England. They sail this morning for the Old Country and expect to spend about 18 months there. Mr and Mrs G. W. Wilton, who lately {returned from an extended tour abroad, have been staying with their daughter, Mrs A. Hawke, of Levin, and left to-day for Martian, On their way to Auckland. Mr Wilton is head of the well-known firm of Geo. W. Wilton and Co., Ltd. The executive of the Federation of Taranaki Dairy Companies has appointed Mr P. C. Neale, 8.A., W.Sc., of Auckland, to the position of dairy scientist in charge of the research laboratory at Hawera to deal with problems arising out of the manufacture of butter and cheese. Mr Neale is a New Zealander with a distinguished scholastic career. He graduated with honours in chemistry at Auckland and also wton the Gillies scholarship and the Sir George Grey scholarship. It is expected he will commence his duties as soon as the necessary equipment is obtained. Arrangements have already been made for the laboratory to be established in the old technical school building.
