TO-DAY’S SCULLING RACE.
MOW ZEAEAMJEKS’ CHANCES BRIGHT. (Received Friday. 7 p.m.) SYDNEY', Mar. 13. The eight-oar crews put on the final touches for to-morrow s race. All report themselves wound up anti in good trim. The contestants will bo New Zealand. Mosma'i. _ Leiclumlt. Drummoyne and University, and a fine struggle is anticipated. A lain> general view is that the New Zealanders will take a lot of beating and that the final issue etween them ana Mosmau. Weather conditions may nave an important bearing on the race. Given favourable weather and water conditions, the visitors regard tlieir chances as good. The race has boon fixed for late afternoon, after the champion sculls have been decided. One factor tu the training caused some comment. The New Zealandeis mostly confined themselves to short spins. It is Stated they have only once done the full course.
