Tho Auckland centre of the Swimming Association passed unanimously a resolution making the strongest proles! to tho Dominion Council against what it described as a uncalled-for personal attack by Messrs. O’Neill and O’Drien on Mr. Fernandez in connection with the Australian swimmers’ visit, and recorded its fullest confidence in Messrs. Fernandez and Cliffe. to whose efforts much of the success of the visit was due. It instructed the centre’s delegates to the Council to move that Messrs. O’Neill and O’Brien bo asked to withdraw unreservedly the statements made, with the same publicity.
