To-night’s feture at the People's Pictures is entitled “Chains," and is notable for its superb photography, fhe story is unfolded in a little Swe dish fishing village, the inhabitants of which were ruled by the stem ,and loveless doctrine of the clergyman, who, with terrible threats of eternal punishment, compels a young girl to marry an old man she does not love. How she eventually finds happiness .with the young man she loves. Lars Hansen, is a story skilfully told.
