THE LEVIN MARKET.
——V 1 SHEEP PRICES EASIER.* j
There, was a full yarding at 3 day’s sa&e. and a fairly good ail-M*-dance considering the wet wei dher. Sheep were again a strong entry in both fats and stores, but wore in e.\ - (cess of requirements. Fats teased off ?as compared with last week', whilst the demand for stores was very' weak. Vendors, however, were willintg to meet the market, and the bulk of the fat classes changed hands; There was 11.0 butchers’ beef among the cattle, and the store and young stock were very little inquired for, the sgles made in this section being at low rates. The entry of dairy stock was much above the usual, the quality ranging ‘from low-conditioned mixed sorts to gt >od early calvers. The latter met hit r competition, the best price of the day being £l4 15s. Poor quality and aged 1 did not find many buyers, and a good number of this class were passed.
