Farland's Pictures
A bright fresh story of Kentucky will head the bill at Farland's to-mor-row night. Entitled "Mountain Dew" it is highly spoken of by reviewers. For Saturday a return of Olga Petrova- in "The Silence iSellers" is promised. This is a powerful exposure of the methods of certain Society journals which make a business of selling their silence on matters of grave public moment. "ENLIGHTEN THY DAUGHTER." "The highest duty is to prepare your daughter for the journey of life" is the text of the outspoken fil mdrama "Enlighten Thy Daughter" to lie shown at ■Farland's next Tuesday evening. The writer plunges at once into his theme. On a great height are shown two blindfolded girls. One walks on with no' hand to guide her. From the eyes of the other the bandage is removed by a dying parent, and she sees below her, the depths of shame. Then the play .proper begins and the lives of the girls are worked out with relentless sincerity. There is also a parallel lesson of a young mother who is afraid of mother 1 ih-oiod, but who sees the peril and wrong of her idea in time. The acting is wonderful throughout. The settings are superb. The drama has been an international success as well it should.
