MATTHEW KENNERSON (Patent applied for)

(To the Editor.) Sir 1 , — "Matthew Kennerson" deserves the thanks of all Levin residents for his timely reminder of the anniversary of the Levin "Clean-up and Paint-up Society," and we are certain the President and the secretary of this commendable body will welcome him with open arms,- especially _since he has been feeding On maize so long. «[f they take good advice they will get their hooks into him and not let. him go until he has worked off all his .powers. Mind you, Mr Editor, "Matthew Kennerson'' must not overlook the fact that the '''Cleanup and Paint-up" twins have managed to get some of their ideas carried out, and I know they have converted quite a number to their ideas of the Town and Home Beautiful. I would suggest that "Matthew Kennerson" and say fifty other Boosters should call on the President and Secretary of the "Clean-up Society," and give them a shock by telling them: "We have come along determined to help you push the job through, and each of lis has our cheque book ready to sign up, so that - any , fighting funds required can be had on the spot.' Please, Mr Editor, as a favour, do not let everyone know about the cheque book act, as they might rush the Secretary and he would not be able v .to stand up to such an ordeal. I am, etc. "BRTTNUS POETICTTS."
