N.Z. FARMERS CO-OPERATIVE DISTRIBUTING COMPANY, LIMITED. WEEKLY REPORT. Wellington, Jan. 19. Supplies of potatoes are increasing, and consequently prices have weaken- « ed. However, there is still an excellent demand. Wheat is firm at recent rates and fair "business passing. Maize is slow. (Fair business is being done in oats and recent prices being maintained. Pollard and bran show no change. There is a fair demand for dressed pork which is now in better supply, prices being slightly lower. Eggs aire scarce and remain firm at recent rates. Poultry is in •good demand, realising fair prices. iLinseed oil oake meal for stock feeding is being used in increasing quantities with excellent results ' Vegetables.—Green peas are in better demand, and p'rices have improved. French beans are eagerly bought up. Galbbages are lower in price owing to largely increased supplies. Only a few good lines of cauliflower are offering and these meet with keen competition. There is an excellent demand for first-class lettuce. There is a fair demand for carrots, turnips and parsnips. Rhubarb is slow of sale. Spring onions, mint and parsley are selling readily, and thero is a fair demand for swedes. Fruit.—tFruit arriving daily from ■ Motueka and H'awke's Bay is of good quality and meets ready sale. Apricots, peaches and Biurbiank plums show an improvement, and prices are good. Only small quantities of greengages are offering and prices are satisfactory. Choice tomatoes are in excellent demand with good prioes. There is a keen, enquiry for grapes.
