The market for potatoes is firm for good samples, aud is being moderately supplied. Local onions from Auckland and Canterbury are now available, and an early and decided drop in values is certain. We received a large shipment of Australian fruits during the weok, and fair prices wore obtained, pears being specially enquired foT, # while ;crapes sold well where quality was right. Local apricots are selling freely at god prices, but peaches nnd plums are somewhat low. Large shipments of Hawko'a Bay peaches are now reaching us daily. Raspberries are in trood demand. App]'*s are weaker. Black enrnants would realise fancy prices. Oanl-i j flower is in' goi-d demand, bnt cabj bvre in very li.vr. Marrows fire -;>lling well. Tigers are slow of sale. Porkers are in good demand, with tio inrlicn+fftn of any fall in prices, although the season is now well under weigh. Poultry is plentiful. with low values. Straw has been very scarce, but supplies of new season's is expected daily. Wheat remains firm, bnt oats are coming back rapidly. Pollard is r f ill vorv scarce indeed.
