PALMERSTON NORTH STOCK SALE. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our Palmenston North sale held on the 2!)tth inst., we had ■a. .heavy yarding of sheep and a .small yarding of cattle. Sheep were in keen demand a.nd practically every pen sold under the hammer. Cattle sold at la,to rates. We quote:—Sheep.—Fat ewes, 12s 2d, 13s to IBs; forward ewes, 8s Id, 8s 2d, 10s (id, 11s to 11s 3d; lambs, (is, 15s 4 d to 7s; ewes in lamb. 10s to 10s Id. Cattle.—lß-month.'heifers, C 2 lls (id to £3 3.s Gd; 2-year heifers in calf, £4 los to £o; em,i)ty cows, £2 12s to £3; bulls, £3 los to £4. BAIT MAT STOCK SALE.
Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report :--At our Rauinai sale, held on. Tuesday, June 27th. we had a g:io:I yarding of sheep, which met with a ready sale. Hoggets and ewes in lamb showed an advance of 2s from tho previous sale. Cattle came forward in small numbers and sold at late- rates. We qu'ote:—2-tooth ewes, 15s, 10s 7d ; β-tooth to s.m. owes in lamb, 5s to 6s <kl to 8s; empty ewes, 4s Od ; lambs, 5s (id to 8s 2d" to 9.s Id. Cattle: Weaner hei-fe-rs. 30s: store cows. £3. SALE OF DATBY STOCK. Abraham a,nd Williams, Ltd., report ,holdi-ng a nvost successful sale on account of Mrs McDonald, of .Rautnai. The herd of 40, which was a particularly choice l'ot, averaged £9 IBs 3d, being mostly August (silvers and well into the Jersey. Prices ranged from £5 5s to £13. A choice line of 8 Jersey Ho:lstein springing heifers made £10 ss; and a line of 8 Jersey 'Shorthorn snrmfrin.g heifers, £7 ss. Weauer heifers, £2 10s, £3 2s Od, £3 17s; Jersey bull. Cβ 2s fid: Hobtein bull. ;£6 3s. We also offered a herd of 7 cows on account of Mv T. Xicnl, which averaged £5 15s.
