Bad Weather Delays Mr. Clark PROBABLY SOME DAYS By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright SYDNEY, November 12. The Government Meteorologist reports that the weather over the Tasman is likely to be bad for several days. Mr L. E. Clark has consequently postponed his flight until conditions improve. The Civil Aviation Board has advised the Defence Minister that it would be Unwise to accept Mr Clark’s offer to search for the lost Viking owing to his machine being a single-engined land plane and unsuitable for a sea search. Sir Archdale Parkhill announced that the Air Force had no available machines of sufficient range. The destroyer Vendetta ami other search vessels report no sign of the Viking. The Colonial Sugar Co.’s Fiona diverted from her course and has joined the search. ROUND-WORLD FLIGHT Clyde Pangborn’s Plans MONTREAL, Nov. 12. It was announced that Clyde Pangborn is flying to Montreal to-day from Newark in a Brunelli transport plane in which he expects to fly the Atlantic shortly in order to make a cold-weatlier test of his plane. He intends to make a direct flight from Canada to England for the Canadian Car and Foundry, Qo. Ltd. The plane is equipped with new radio apparatus, the “Simon radio guide”, which permits the pilot to ascertain his bearings from any radio station. Pangborn announced that he expected to make a non-stop flight around the world next summer, starting and finishing at New York. He plans to refuel in. the air with the aid of Russian bombing planes at Moscow and in China, also at additional emergency refuelling stations elsewhere. He has been promised the co-operation of- Amtorg, the New York Russian trading agency, which will cut expenses.
