TRYING TO BE FUNNY?
Question at Taxi Inquiry “Is it not a fact that you have had to ring up for another car, even though you had one on your own stand, just because your driver was walking up the street?" asked Mr S. Cross, when cross-examining Mr F. J. Annan at the sitting of the committee of inquiry into taxi matters in Napier this morning. Mr Annan: Are you trying to be funny? The chairman, Mr P. M. Butler: Go on. You had better answer that question. There might be something in it. Mr Annum No, of course it isn’t true. But I don’t think that questions like that should ba allowed.
