LORRY LOSES WHEEL
Accident Near Waipukurau From Our Own Correspondent WAIPUKURAU, Nov. 11. An unusual accident occurred to a lorry owned by Blair Bros., Ltd., carriers, of Waipukurau, late this afternoon, when one of the rear wheels came off. The accident occurred about 20 miles from Waipukurau while a load of lambs was being taken from Oakburn Station to Waipukurau. The cause is unknown yet, but it is thought that the axle broke. The rear wheel came off without warning, and the four-ton lorry slid backwards into a bank. Fortunately nobody was hurt, and the stock was transferred to another lorry and brought to Waipukurau.
