HANCOX—TRENDELL WEDDING

Tho wedding was celebrated on Thursday evening at St. Augustine’s Church, Napier, which was beautifully decorated by friends of tho bride, oi Ahee Helen,.youngest daughter of Mrs and th© late Mr F. Trendell, Napier, and Claude Frank Hancox, Hastings. Tho bride, who was given away by her mother, entered the church on the arm of Mr T. Usherwood (an old friend of tho family). She looked charming in a long slim-fitting gown of honeygold mousseline and lace, over satin, and trimmed with diamante. With this was worn a large picture hat and shoes to tone and she carried a bouquet of lemon ranuncullus and freezias. -

■Miss Betty Usherwood, who attended the bride, looked sweet in a frock of pink embossed georgette, which was cut on lines similar to that of the bride’s, and she wore hat and shoes to tone. Her bouquet was in shades of pink. Mr A. C. Crawford carried out the duties of best man. A reception was afterwards held at the Nelson Park tearooms, where about 70 guests were received by Mis Trendell, mother of the bride, who was attired in a smart black ensemble relieved with silver.

A special feature of the reception was the beautiful three-tiered honeycoloured cake made and decorated by the bride. After the toasts were honoured the happy couple left by car tor a tour of the north, Mrs Hancox travelling in a navy tailored costume with accessories to tone.

Among those present were: Mr F. C. Trendell (brother of the bride,) and Mrs Trendell, Mesdames Hellyer and Jackson (sisters of the bride), Mr Hellyer, Air and Mrs Usherwood and family, Mr and Mrs Leverett, Airs Sweeney, Mr and Sirs Kenai, Sir, Sirs and Miss Marcel, Mr, Sirs and Miss EJford and Sir F. White, Miss E. Morris, Sirs and Sliss Diamond, Sir, Mrs and -Miss Ireland, Sirs and Miss Sellars, Sir, Mrs and Miss May, Sir and Sirs Leainonth, Sliss Beil and Sir Stafford, Sir and Sirs Drummond, Sir C. Drummond, Sirs Crawford, Sir and Sirs Cain, Sir H. Cain, Sir and Sirs Lincoln, Sir and Sirs Griersen, Sliss Prewett, Sliss Yule, Mrs and Sliss Harrison, Sir and Mrs Ward, Sir, Sirs and Sliss Sloodie, Sir R. Turpin, Sirs and Miss Ewbank, the Rev. Gardiner.
