HAVELOCK BATHS

Meeting of Committee

The annua] meeting of the Havelock North Bathe Committee was held at Havelock yesterday. Mr W. Nimon presided over a full attendance of members. The balance-sheet and annual report, showing a credit balance of £3O 15/-, were approved. Mr W. A. Nimon was re-appointed chairman and Mr W. H. Anderson secretary. Mr A. Lindsay was appointed caretaker for the season. It was decided to record tho committee’s appreciation of the service rendered by Mr Eric Phillips in designing and supervising the erection of the new high diving-board. General repairs are to be undertaken at the baths.

The fixing of the date of the opening was left in the hands of the chairman and the secretary. Tho Havelock North School Committee wrote in appreciation of tho facilities given to school children at the baths.

It was decided to try aluminium paint on the larger bath
