Offering at Wairoa

The Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-opera five Association report on a clearing sale of stud and grade Jersey cows, heifers and bulls on account of Mrs. Rainbow, Wairoa. There was a large attendance of the public and spirited bidding on all lines offered, resulting ifi a total clearance under the hammer.

Prices were as follows:—1 aged stud cow 9 gns., 1 at 15 gns., 1 at 7 gns., 1 ff-yr. cow 8 gns., 1 at 13 gns., 2 at 14 gns., 1 aged cow 74 gns., 1 G-yr. cow 13 gns., 1 3-yr. heifer 4 gns., 1 at 5 gns., 1 2-yr. heifer 13i gns., 1 at 15 gns., 1 at 20i gns., 1 3-yr. heifer 9J gns., 16-yr. grade cow £lO 2/6, 1 4-yr. grade cow £9, 1 6-yr. grade cow £6, 1 at £5, 1 3-yr. grade cow £8 5/-, 1 6-yr. grade cow £8 5/-. Pedigree yearling heifers.—l at 6 gns., 1 at 7 gns., 2 at 74 gns., 1 at 8 gns., 1 at 74 gns. Pedigree calves (heifers). —1 at 2J gns., 2 at 2 gns., 1 at 24 gns. Pedigree bulls.—l 8-yr. at 7 gns., 1 yearling G gns., 1 at 11 gns., 1 18-month 9 gns., 1 at 7 gns., 1 bull calf 3 gns., 1 at 71 gns.
