EUREKA LODGE

The usual fortnightly meeting of the Eureka Lodge ol JJruids was held in the United Hall on Tuesday, Bro. J. btickland, A.D., presiding over a good attendance of members. The Havelock Indoor Bowls Club challenged the Lodge to a game of bowls, and it was agreed to meet them at Havelock on Tuesday, 22nd inst.

The annual re-union of the Lodges of the district will take place at Waipawa on Thursday, 24th inst., and transport will leave the Post Office at 7 p.m.

The report of the ritual contest was held over until next lodge night. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £l5 16/- were passed for payment. As the lodge was holding the Huai ladies’ night of the season other business was held over.

There was a good attendance of ladies to wind up the season’s programme, and they were entertained with cards and a dance, for which prizes were given to winners of various contests.
