VISITING HOURS

Daily at Waipukurau Hospital

From Our Own Correspondent. WAIPUKURAU, September 16.

Visitors will be permitted to the Waipukurau District Hospital daily in future, instead of on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday only as in the past. The visiting hours have been altered slightly, and are now:

Sundays and Wednesdays, 2.0 to 3.30 p.m. (as before). All other days, 2.15 to 3.30 p.m. The by-law governing visiting hours was altered at the hospital board meeting to-day, on the motion of Mr Atkins, seconded by the chairman, Mr Rathbone.

Mr Atkins explained that the alteration was to suit the convenience of both town and country residents wishing to visit friends in hospital. The alteration will in no way affect any special visiting concessions extended to relatives in the past by the authorities in charge of the hospital. The medical superintendent, Dr. Fisher, agreed to the alteration of the hours to give an extra quarter of an hour more than suggested in the original notice of motion.
