It was announced at the annual meeting of the New Sealand Friesian Association that a cow owned by Messrs Boyds and Williams, Five Elvers,' Southland, had just completed a period of test with an average of 5.31, a record for the breed in New Zealand, if not the world. During the period of test she produced 11,0831b5. of milk and 588,81b5. of butterfat. The following officers were elected: President, Mr H. E. Johnson (Tokomaru), vice-presidents, Messrs D. J. McGowan (Auckland), J. Hart (Morrinsville); four members to the council, Messrs O. A. CadwaJlader, H. E. Johnson, D. J. McGowan, E. M. North} life member, Mr E. C. Banks (Tauranga).
