RECORD PUBLIC DEBT
Huge United States Total (Received 19, 9.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, June 17. A Treasury statement of June 15 reveals a record public debt of 34,331,355,000 dollars, compared with 28,700,000.000 dollars at June 15, 1935. Financing of the veterans’ bonus was partially responsible for the increase.
