Col. M. JI. and Mrs. Allison, Christchurch, are visiting Col. Allison's sister, Mrs. I’. A. Riddell, tlatunia. Miss I. Kirk, of the teaching staff of the Napier Girls’ High School, is to be granted a year’s leave of absence, commencing at the end of the present school year, when she will leave for England to study educational methods at schools there.
