WOMEN’S REST

Matron’s Monthly Report “Everything in the building is in good order,” statetd Mrs K. Hagenson matron of the Hastings Women’s Rest in her monthly report to the Hastings Borough Council last evening. She added that last month the total attendance of 61-11, comprising 4810 patrons, 51 visitors and 1280 visitants to the Plunket rooms. Cash receipts amounted to £2O 1/2. She reported that the screen doors had been built in. the long corridor and made a great improvement to the warmth of the building, as well as making a cosy corner lor lunch girls on wet days.

During the month the Rest received parcels of magazines Irom Mrs. Chaplin, Beresford Street; Airs. G. Richardson, Huamoana; and Airs Paul, Market Street
