Players are requested to hand all cards otherwise the three championships, senior, intermediate and junior will not have complete numbers. Last Saturday only 38 cards were handed in to fill 48 places. WAIPUKURAU LADIES On Wednesday a stroke match first qualifying round for the Bishop Cup, will be. played on the Maharakeke Links, by members of the Waipukurau Ladies’ Golf Club. C Grade arrange their own partners. WAIPAWA CLUB The final qualifying round for the F.M.T. Cup was played by the Saturday section on Saturday. Some very good cards were returned, and on the aggregate of the two rounds, the following players qualify with the best net scores, and will play off as hereunder:— D. Knoblock v. Chrisholm. Vannini v. J. Knobloek. Treveua v. Strang. Williams v. Watts. The above players are requested to arrange their games as early as possible as the first round must be completed by June 21. The club’s team over the week-end was beaten by Parkvale by a very small margin. Results are as follow, Waipawa being mentioned first. FOUR-BALL Watts and Vauuini halved with Watkins and McPherson. Tiekner and Edwards bout Atwood and Lean. Bryant and Shackelford lost to Rixou aud Wright. Lean and Bishop lost to Puhara and Simpson. Armstrong and Trevena halved with Horton and Sullivan. Loughuan aud Woods halved with Nikera aud Louis. Ferris and Jopson beat Jones and Kerr. Guthrie and Smart beat Edgecombe I and Parkhill. Waipawa won 44 to 34. TWO-BALL Watts lost to Watkins. Vanniui beat McPherson. Tiekner lost to Attwood. Edwards lost to Lean. Bryant lost to Rixou. Chackelford lost to Wright. Lean beat Puhara. Bishop lost to Simpson. Armstrong lost to Horton. Trevena beat Sullivan. Loughuan lost to Nikera. Woods beat Louis. Ferris beat Jones. •lopson lost to Kerr. Guthrie beat PaTkhill. Kessell beat Muir. Waipawa 7; Parkvalc 9. Trevena, by perfect play over the first nine holes returned a lovely 33, giving bogey a very severe jolt. Continuing over the second nine holes lie I returned a 37. just 4 over par for the I 18 holes. On Wednesday a Btabloford Bogey will be played by the men’s section. Partners will be arranged for at the links, and members are requested to assemble at 1 p.m. sharp.
