PETROL STATIONS
Proposed Licensing By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, May 3. The Hon. D. Q. Sullivan, Minister of Industries and Commerce, intimated on Saturday that the question of licensing petrol service stations is under consideration, and it is proposed that such legislation be retrospective. Any stations, therefore, opened since a date to be fixed or that contemplate opening will be the subject of investigation and survey as to whether they may be considered economic units within the locality in which they arc situated, and licences will be granted or refused accordingly.
