Hawke’s Bay Rivers Board ( POSITION SATISFACTORY j A credit balance of £379 is shown in the Hawke's Bay Rivers Board's rtatement of accounts for the year ended March 31 last. The chairman, Mr O. Lassen, explained to the beard to-day that a number of items of expenditure would not be recurring. Tho amount of tho board's public debt had been reduced by £2386. Members considered that the position was most satisfactory especially in view of the abnormally wet season experienced when the rivers were frequently in flood
