Mr E. L. Cullen, M.P., is returning home by to-night’s express. Mr R. Pollock, representing Stanley McKay’s “Gaieties” Australian vaudeville company, is in Hastings making arrangements lor the company’s season here shortly, Mr A. Follow, postmaster at Hastings, will act as Chief Postmaster al Napier as from next week, replacing Mr L. Hill, whoso retirement has been announced, until such time as a successor is appointed. During Mr Pellow’s absence from Hastings his duties will be carried out by Mr D. 11. Hooker, supervisor of the telegraph branch at Hastings. Mr H. Duncan Hall, a former Australian citizen now on the League of Nations Secretariat, will arrive in Wellington oil Wednesday next from Australia, where ho has been speaking iu the important centres. At the annual meeting of tlio Wellington branch of the League of Nations Union, to be held on Thursday evening next, Mr Hall will be the principal speaker: bis subject, "The League and the Future,”
