Scottish Programmes It is understood that contracts have already been arranged to fill the ether over New Zealand with. Scottish songs. Duncan Morrison will provide the piano music and Sydney Mae Ewan the tenor effects. These two include in their repertoire an exclusive selection of music from Scotland. All true Scots will bo there on the air, or somebody else’s air, and all true Englishmen will bo there to see what music from Scotland sounds like. In contrast to this an Indian soprano, Miss Rina Addey, is to tour all stations in the very near future. This visitor is well known for her accomplishments In her of origin. Ona cannot help leeling that the time is now not so far distant when artists of this nature will sign on the dotted line for an Empire tour of radio stations. At present each individual broadcasting board has to make its own arrangements. An artist leaving England lor a tour of this nature would sign up to “cio” the Empire. Each individual board would give its contribution. As things are shaping (states an exchange) it would appear inevitable that some Empire organisation will unify what at present is a matter of individual arrangement. Listeners undoubtedly would benefit from good organisation.
