Napier Sub-Centre The monthly meeting of the executive committee of the Napier Sub-Cen-tre of the New Zealand Red Crbss Society was held last evening, when Mr M. 8. Spence presided over a full attendance of members. Correspondence was received from headquarters with reference to th» exchange of a portfolio from a school in Czechoslovakia, when it was decided to arrange the exchange with the Huka rere Maori Girls’ College. The president reported on the gen oral meeting recently held in Palmers ton North, when the new constitution was finally passed. The treasurer reported that the total sum received on Red Cross Day from the street collection, donations, and the shop, was £202 2/1. Appreciation was recorded of the excellent work performed by the V.A.D.’s and other help ers in the collection, and of the work of the ladies responsible for the shop. The depot committee reported that since the last meeting 49 cases had been dealt with, and 232 garments issued, in addition to food and blankets, issued, in addition to boots and blan kets. The treasurer reported the enrolment of several new members. The nurse’s report intimated that the classes were now being attended by 184 pupils. It was resolved to hold the annual meeting on May 12.
