INCREASE IN STAKES

Caulfield Cup Meeting (Received 22, 8.45 a.m.) MELBOURNE, April 21. The secretary of the Victoria Amateur Turf Club announces an increase in prize money for the next Caulfield Cup by £5OO to £6500, the winner to receive £5OOO and a gold cup, the second £lOOO and the third £5OO. The Caulfield Guineas stakes have been increased by GOO guineas to 2600 guineas, and the Caulfield Futurity Stakes have been increased from £2600 to £3OOO.
