The Minister of Public Works, the Hou. 11. Semple, has advised the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board that he sees no reason why the electrio supply in Marewa, Napier’s new suburb, should be handed over to the control of the Napier Borough Council. Tho Hawke’s Bay Builders’ and General Labourers’ Union is being reformed, and the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Beard has received a letter asking for a list of all employees working under that award. The reply is to ba that there are no such workers in the board’s employ All arc members of either tb< linesmen’s or wirpmen’s n« a rd.
