H.B. PRESBYTERY

Waipukurau Meeting From Our Own Correspondent. WAIPUKURAU, April 21. The meeting of the *Hawke’s Bay Presbytery was held in St. Andrew’s schoolroom, Waipukurau, to-day, the Rev. IV. 11. Hutchinson presiding over a good attendance of representatives from as far north us Putorino and ns far south as Woodville. The Rev. H. 8. Scott, of Takapau, was elected moderator for the coming year, and the Rev. N. H. Finch, of Cust-Oxford, was nominated for the position of minister of Wairoa, subject to confirmation by the Home Mission Committee of the Gener al Assembly. The Presbytery considered certain remits that had been sent from the General Assembly for consideration and report.

It was reported that very successful East p r Bible Class camps had been hold at Havelock North, where 120 B.C. members had attended, and another in the Gisborne district. Special consideration was given tr< home mission work.
